JYJ has donated to World Vision 600 million won (40 million yen, T/N:USD514800) in March, requesting the money to be used in the areas affected by the great northeast earthquake. [TRANS] 111011 JYJ Reveals Their True Feelings at News Conference

JYJ has released their long-anticipated album "In Heaven"!

Since leaving SM Entertainment (SME) in July 2009, till today, nearing the second anniversary of the group, the journey has not been easy, and they have emphasized that all this is by choice and they have no complaints nor regrets. With a grateful heart, JYJ is filled with emotion at being able to release a Korean album, in the hopes that this can be a gift, dedicated to loyal fans who have always been with them.

Their conversation with reporters at a cafe in Seoul is as follows.

JaeJoong said, "This album is meaningful to me in many ways. We are exhilarated because this is our first Korean album, and this encompasses two years' worth of emotions and stories. I think our fans should have the deepest feelings on it. In the album, there are songs that we've been preparing since January. What makes us proud of this album is that 80% of it is personally created by us.

Although they've been in the entertainment industry for nearly ten years, JunSu, YooChun and JaeJoong have not had any songs that they can perform publicly since leaving SME. Now, all the songs that they perform are either personally composed or chosen, even their concerts, stage designs and directing are done personally. For them, these two years have been an accumulation of experiences as well as growth.

So how did they make music?

Other than YooChun telling the reporters that he had spent over 100 million won refurbishing his own studio, JunSu also said, "When we were creating songs together, we never argued. We always exchange suggestions, listening to each other advices, and finding common points with each other. By doing it this way, there'll always be a good results and exchange of ideas.

YooChun continued, saying, "I hope this album can become a great gift for our fans, because their patience during this long wait has given us an enormous amount of strength and courage. We are not creating songs for the title of "singer-composers". At first it was difficult, because when we had concerts, we couldn't sing many songs. In the end, all these can be seen as the turning point of the crisis, we learnt a lot from our struggles and found the strength to start again. The three of us can experience emotions on a deeper level now. Other than that, we are also more confident of our future as musicians."

[NEWS]111012 RELIVE IT: KBS New York Korea Festival brings K-Pop to New Jersey!

Hanbok-clad musicians, free Shin Ramyun and K-pop idols — the KBS New York Korea Festival had it all this weekend! Running through the weekend of October 8th and 9th at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, the New York Korean Festival attracted K-Pop lovers from all over the East Coast (and even some who flew in from the West coast!). Booths lined the perimeter of the grassy park, offering Korean delicacies, K-pop shirts and other merchandise; it was a cultural mecca for all those who wanted to learn more about the Korean culture while enjoying performances from their favorite K-Pop artists.

After hosting a hugely successful booth at the Korean Music Festival in Los Angeles a few months ago, we teamed up with SK Planet to throw a second event at the KBS festival. This time, we had double the number of prizes and giveaways for an epic two-day event!

The sunny afternoons were filled with song and dance cover contests as well as cameos from celebrities like Decipher, who autographed free albums for fans. Everyone who dropped by the booth also had the exclusive chance to sign up for the upcoming international release of Starcall, a free smartphone app that allows fans to directly receive video messages from K-Pop celebrities in real time.

As dusk began to settle in on Sunday, scores of attendees began to flock toward the main stage en masse in anticipation for the concert to begin. Those who were lucky got to sit in the fenced general admission and VIP sections; others got to spread a blanket on the grass and scream for their idols, as performances flashed across huge broadcast screens.

The night saw performances from a star-studded lineup comprised of idols TVXQ, 2PM, 4minute, B2ST, G.NA, SISTAR, SHINee and Kim Tae Woo. With legendary singers like Insooni and Jang Sa Ik also making an appearance, there was something for everyone to enjoy, from young fangirls to older generations.

We’ve got the full coverage of the festival, our two-day booth event, and the concert itself coming up this week, so stay tuned for the rest of allkpop’s RELIVE IT series!

Until then, get a taste of the event with allkpop’s photo and video teasers:
