Tohoshinki Exhibition at
Tower Records,Shibuya

Hey guys. Thought I’d share my experience of well.. the THSK craze that has seriously swept Japan off its feet. I joined this fandom late last year so there’s things that are still relatively new to me but when it comes to Japan, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a craze since the days of when BoA crash-landed in Japan back in 2003.

Anywho. To start things off, my friend from Canada who got here two days ago informed me that she saw them take down the previous banner and replaced it with the Best Of promo. I… when I came from the Hachiko exit in Shibuya, I could only see JaeChunSu and not HoMin so I figured the only way to do it was by crossing the large intersection while taking a photo.. and I guess this was the only shot that was decent enough for me to show.

On the way to Tower Records, I went nuts seeing other fangirls walking the opposite direction with their Best Of in their own bag and the poster sticking out. First thing I noticed was TR staff trying to literally “entice” people to come buy it (the previous week they did the same thing for Michael Jackson’s This Is It DVD). And then I noticed various life-size posters of each individual member (plus some group shots) and heaps of girls were going nuts trying to get pictures with their favourite member. Hehe, and it’s funny though cuz everyone seemed to be going for Yoochun. But I went for the double and chose Soulmates (wheeee~)

The exhibition itself was pretty fun. I had to keep switching from using my camera then to my phone camera cuz I tweeted in RT to my Twitter account- not the easiest job in the world but it seriously gave me the opportunity to work my arm muscles!

BigEast are so cute and funny in general. There was a giant poster of them and it was amusing to just stand there and watch them go crazy over how they wanted to take pictures with their favourite members. I wanted to do so myselft but Soulmates were enough for me.

Basically the exhibition was their to showcase their achievements since their debut and I found myself humming along to every song that came while browsing the various things like their costumes used in TSC in Tokyo Dome (from their Begin perf onwards) and their entire discography was available for purchase. Nothing extravagant except the many photos they had on display.

Overall it was quite a good experience. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like when they had their exhibition in Omotesandou last year. I’m very proud of the boys and their hardwork they’ve put in to establish themselves as a J-Pop act.

And while the future is still uncertain, no matter what.. always keep the faith!
