[TRANS] 100712 GQ Magazine
- Junsu's Interview -..bringing old magazine interview translation of Junsu for you..
hope with this trans will help us to cure our heart,
because of too much missing Junsu.. His answer is sincere.. I love to read his interview... cute and always simple.. sometimes, shy..Q: Will you only consider your own thinking while singing?
A: Will consider the audiences's views while singing.
Q: Then, your own way of singing and the audience's idea of the way of singing, what's the comparison between the two? Wouldn't there be conflicts between the two sometimes?
A: Yes. But I do not intend to calculate the way of singing nor worry about any theory. I will interpret/sing naturally according to the atmosphere and conditions on that day. I remembered when I just started performing "Mirotic", I would always need to reconsider the best parts for breathing, but now, I can breathe naturally during the dance. Perhaps LIVE performance would give the best results, but it'll decrease the fun at the same time.
Q: As a singer, do you regard your voice as the factor you're most confident about?
A: If it is a must to distinguish, I would say sing 50, dance 50. There's no way to say that singing is better. Because while being a trainee, I was always practicing dance. And my image too......
Q: What do you aim to achieve in the future?
A: I want to sing forever. There's no full marks in the music world.
Q: If the Devil asks you to surrender one of your talents, which one would you give up? Vocals? Singing ability? Affection? Technique?
A: Technique. In fact, it is not necessary to have technique. There's also other priorities in singing.
Q: Then, which is the first?
A: Affection. The quality of singing will have some differences because of the different styles. The most important factor will be how much sincerity you willingly synchronize/put in, coupled with your natural voice. I still have a long way to go. This is one of my concept.
