PD Kim Young Hui of ‘I Am a Singer’ has chosen Xiah Junsu, Taeyeon, Hyorin and IU as idol singers with enough potential to appear on the show.
The former PD of ‘I Am a Singer’, Kim Young Hui stated in an interview on April 18th that, “The show needs new well-recognized and talented singers as well as the singers it has now,” and “It’s possible for idols to appear on the show as long as they are extremely talented.”
PD Kim Young Hui was actually pushing for IU’s appearance on the show. But these plans, which had just been put into action, fell through when Kim Young Hui resigned from her position on the show.
The PD suggested stars such as Xiah Junsu(JYJ), Taeyeon(Girls’ Generation) and Hyorin(SISTAR) and said, “They are singers who have enough talent to be on the show.”
Last year, Xiah Junsu was chosen as the male idol singer with the best vocal talent. He has already been dubbed ‘The King of Vocal Talent’ by fans. Most people already know of Taeyeon’s talent and there was even talk from the beginning of ‘I Am a Singer’ that ‘If an idol appears on the show, it has to be Taeyeon.’ Hyorin’s talent was recently discovered when videos of her MR-removed performance began circulating online. People say that she has ‘vocals to die for’.

PD Kim Young Hui is planning to study abroad in South America and will be preparing a new program during the trip. ‘I Am a Singer’ recommenced filming on the 18th of April and will be aired on May 1st.
