TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho confessed his past family troubles.
On the ‘Strong Heart’ episode that aired on the 14th, U-Know Yunho talked of happenings that have occurred to him as a singer as well as personal stories that showed an honest and sincere side of him.
He confessed that when he was a student, he decided to secretly follow his father after feeling suspicious that his father was leaving the house at 4am every morning. He said, “Because I was young, I thought my father was leading a double life. But I found out that he was delivering newspapers without his family knowing what he was doing.”
According to U-Know Yunho, his father was a businessman for quite some time until the IMF hit in 1997, when he incurred heavy losses. He had to close down his business and provide for his family by helping his friends out and delivering newspapers.
U-Know Yunho said, “Watching my father return home right after delivering newspapers and going straight out for work made me feel that in the future, I want to become like my father and make my family really happy.”
He continued to say, “I recently found out that my mother used to secretly go and work at a factory,” and “My parents still work because they don’t feel comfortable about using their son’s money so easily.“
The singer received a round of applause from the audience and fellow celebrities when he added that he recently bought his parents a new house and car.
