[TRANS] 110623 JYJ Yuchun’s New Drama “Miss Ripley” To Be Aired In Japan On Mnet!!

The latest MBC Korean drama that started its run on 30 May, will debut in Japan on 13 August via the 100% Korean Entertainment Channel Mnet.

A cheating woman, and the men who were cheated. But really, what is true love? Lee Da Hae, who had a pure image faces a new challenge of playing an evil woman. With the loneliness in her heart and hatred towards her own past, she makes use of two men, working her way up from the lowest point in her life using the method of “lying,” passionately acting as an evil woman.

The men that Miri (Lee Da Hae) cheats are: JYJ’s Yuchun, who is continuing onto his second drama after “SungKyunKwan Scandal,” and Kang Seung Woo, who reprises as the role of a hotelier after his drama “Hotelier” from 10 years ago.

Also, Kang Hye Jung returns to the screens with this drama after marrying Tablo from popular Hip-hop group Epik High and giving birth, making up a cast which led to very high anticipation for this project.

Also, Yuchun plays the heir to a famous Japanese Resorts company, and his Japanese name is Yutaka. To be able to hear him speak in fluent Japanese is also a point that the Japanese fans are happy about.

Before the actual Japanese broadcast, Mnet will also be showing “Yuchun’s New Drama “Miss Ripley” Highlights Guide” on 30 July (Sat).

Carrying the burden of a miserable life, working in the red-light districts of Japan (Fukuoka), clearing her debts and moving to Korea with a fake passport, Lee Da Hae plays Jang Miri, who fakes her past and gains a job, money as well as (the love of) two men…

This is a drama shows the methods of winning in a world where “The tricked are stupid, and the trickster benefits,” while revealing what exactly true love is.

This drama is produced by Han Hee, who also worked on “Over The Rainbow” and “Super Rookie.”

After the first episode was aired on 30 May, the drama took top spot for viewership ratings for its time belt with 13.2%. With scenes shot in Japan, and Japanese as extras, this is a drama with an abundance of Japanese influence.
