Personally written and composed by Kim Jaejoong, the OST of SBS drama series “Protect The Boss” named “I’ll Protect You” has invaded main music website charts.
Kim Jaejoong had received much praises and attention for his role as “Prince of Finance World” Cha Mu Won in his first Korean drama series “Protect The Boss”. His self composed song “I’ll Protect You” has earned first place in Naver, Daum and CYWorld’s real-time charts. In addition, he has also topped the music charts of main music websites such as Bugs, Soribada and Olleh.
“You Are So Beautiful” sung by Kim Junsu had also been released on 5 August, and is currently still in the music charts of these websites. With the participation of Kim Jaejoong in drama sound tracks, JYJ’s potential is once again displayed since Park Yoochun’s participation in “The Empty Seat For You” in June.
Kim Jaejoong expressed, “The more one comes closer, the further it feels; ‘I’ll Protect You’ expresses the wish of wanting to protect a love. I hope the audience will anticipate the estranged love between these four people as the story progresses on.”
In addition, JYJ would be holding a photo exhibition named “Mine”, displaying photos that the trio has personally taken during their world tour performance. The exhibition is held for ten days starting on 12 August at Insa Cultural Centre.
Reason for re-recording of “Protect The Boss” OST
Kim Jaejoong roused the attention of many fans when news broke out that he will be participating in the OST of his drama series “Protect The Boss”, of which he acts as Cha Mu Won, displaying his stable acting skills, successfully capturing attention of the audience.
He became talk of the town when “I’ll Protect You”— the OST he had written and composed personally was being broadcasted in the third episode of the drama, thereafter being made public through music websites such as Melon, Dosirk, Bugs Music, Naver and Daum after the broadcast.
With regards to the OST of “Protect The Boss”, the management of SBS information centre expressed, “The professionalism of Kim Jaejoong has been proven once again through the recording of this OST.”
Although the management was very satisfied with the recording of Kim Jaejoong’s “I’ll Protect You”, Kim Jaejoong still expressed, “I’m still not satisfied, I hope to do a re-recording”, even though the latter had been tired and worn out by his busy drama schedules.
When he did a re-recording, “I’ll Protect You” attained a higher level of completion. Being a member of popular vocal group JYJ, as well as being one of the main characters for “Protect The Boss”, he has put much effort into the recording, displaying the best and such behavior received applauds from the management.
