TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho (Jung Yunho) has made his mark as the head of the maritime police’s tactics team with a charismatic presence.
Jung Yunho will be appearing in KBS’ new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Poseidon’, which will begin airing on the 19th of September, as ‘Kang Eun Cheol’ and will be making a short but impacting special guest appearance.
At the filming of the drama which took place on the 16th of August at the Incheon port, Jung Yunho kicked off his second acting role as the cold and calculating member of the maritime police’s special task force.
In the exhilarating scene in which the team must catch a criminal, Jung Yunho exuded masculinity as he perfectly portrayed a special task force member while wearing heavy attire that included gloves, a helmet, special goggles, a mask and a bulletproof vest.
As the filming was done during the hottest month of the year, it must have been hard for the actors to film their scenes in their heavy outfits that had several layers. But Jung Yunho worked hard to fulfill his first day of filming for the drama, showing curiosity towards his outfit and made sure to check that all of his props ready.
He also received much praise from the staff for his ability to portray a maritime police officer with much ease though it was his first time doing so. It has been said that the charisma Jung Yunho shows when questioning the criminal and his natural athletic abilities that showed through his action scenes add to the anticipation for the drama.
Kang Eun Cheol is the head of Poseidon’s tactics team who follows the rules at all times and is recognized for his talents. As the antagonist of Seon Woo (Choi Siwon), Kang Eun Cheol is expected to be locked in a fierce competition with Seon Woo and the two will add more excitement to the drama.
In real life, Choi Siwon and Jung Yunho are close friends from the same entertainment agency and neither held back in praising and supporting the other while filming. Jung Yunho’s strong passion for acting is giving the cast of ‘Poseidon’ a great energy boost.
Production company Enex Telecom stated, “Jung Yunho, who is participating in the filming of ‘Poseidon’ on top of his already busy schedule, is taking on his role with more enthusiasm than anyone else,” and “Though Jung Yunho will only be making a special appearance in the drama, he is making the storyline of the beginning much stronger.
