JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong will be directing Sohn Yeon Jae’s rhythmic gymnastics gala show.
IB Sports revealed that Kim Jaejoong will be directing Sohn Yeon Jae’s first gala performance ‘LG Whisen Rhythmic Gymnastics All Star 2011′, which will take place in Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium on June 11th.
Kim Jaejoong, whose talents have already recognized through directing the ‘JYJ World Tour 2011′, will be in charge of the selection and arrangement of music, special effects, costumes and choreography of the show. Kim Jaejoong said, “I find rhythmic gala performances fascinating for their ability to maximize dynamics through an intersection of various genres.”
Singer Tei will be partaking in a duet performance with the world’s greatest rhythmic gymnastics stars.
Music Director Han Jung Lim of the musical ‘Tears of Heaven’, and Choreographer No Ji Hyun of the musical ‘Cats’ and ‘Phantom of the Opera’ will be creating the opening and finale numbers of the show. The grace only found in rhythmic gymnastics will be merged with live music to create a lively and extravagant show.
IB Sports, which will be hosting the gala performance, explained, “We have called in experts from various fields for the expansion and progress of rhythmic gymnastics. We are planning to provide the audience members with a performance as thrilling as a sports match, as luscious as a ballet routine and as lively as an idol’s concert.“
