[NEWS] 110429 JYJ Sues Japanese Agency Over Cancellation Of Concert
JYJ has filed a lawsuit in Japan against their management company AVEX Entertainment for interfering with their attempt to hold a charity concert.
JYJ, a boyband formed by former TVXQ members Kim Jae-joong, Kim Jun-su, and Park Yoo-chun after they filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment for unjust contract, had planned a charity concert to aid earthquake-affected areas in Japan. However, the concert’s venues have canceled their contracts with JYJ after AVEX allegedly pressured them.

JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment and the concert organizer ZAK Corporation have filed two provisional dispositions against AVEX with the Tokyo District Court.
AVEX released an official statement, in which they do not deny the action. “Our company holds the exclusive rights for JYJ’s activities in Japan, and we have just taken actions against the infringement rightfully and properly,” AVEX said. They also claimed that they have received blackmails and threats due to the matter.
AVEX signed a contract with three members of JYJ in early 2010 after JYJ filed the lawsuit with SM Entertainment. A few months later, AVEX announced the “suspension of activities” of three members, arguing JYJ should refrain from promoting in Japan while legal proceedings against SM Entertainment were under way in Korea.
This “suspension of activities” has kept JYJ from conducting any promotional activities in Japan. Even after the suspension, however, AVEX has continued to make profits with products such as DVDs and JYJ footage.
Due to their ongoing lawsuit with their management company, JYJ has had difficulties in their activities in Korea as well. They have released an album, held concerts globally, and acted in dramas and musicals, but have had trouble getting airtime on television entertainment shows.
Another pop group, KARA, who also had three members embroiled in a dispute with their management company DSP for nearly 3 months, recently announced they have resolved the disagreement and will continue their career with DSP.

[TRANS] 110426 With Hundreds Of Millions Of Won For Income, Even JYJ’s Donations Are Of A Large Scale
JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) have donned worldwide wings and are flying high.
Hitting the 520,000 mark in pre-orders for their first worldwide album ‘The Beginning’, attracting 150,000 people to their successful showcases in Asia and America, becoming goodwill ambassadors for ‘FLL KOREA’ and ‘World-OKTA’, winning the Newcomer of the Year Award at the 2010 KBS Acting Awards as well as the Best Male Newcomer Award at the 16th Korean Musical Awards and the Best Supporting Actor at the Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix. These are the accomplishments of JYJ in 2010.
Their accomplishments do not end here. With less than half of 2011 gone, JYJ extended their contracts with Lotte Duty Free, and became CF models for many famous domestic brands such as NII, Nature Republic and TiO. They are also receiving an endless stream of love calls from a variety of genres such as the musical and drama industries.
Though restrictions have been made on their televised appearances due to their legal dispute with their former agency SM Entertainment, JYJ have been boasting their power as top Hallyu stars through other various forms such as concerts and album releases.
The earnings they make are as gargantuan as the breadth and depth of their activities. According to a representative, the members of JYJ have houses over the price of 3 billion Won under their names as well as famous and expensive super cars such as Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Maseratis.
Their income, which totals up to hundreds of millions of Won, comes from the artiste-centered contract they have with their current agency. C-JeS Entertainment, who is currently in charge of JYJ, bases its income division and beliefs on respecting each individual artiste’s interests and talents as well as giving said artistes the agency’s full support in whichever genre they wish to pursue. This specific system was what gave JYJ the opporunity to pursue a variety of interests, which naturally led to high earnings.
JYJ have also become model examples to follow as they give back as much as they earn through their fans’ love. Not only have they donated a portion of their ticket earnings to an international humanitarian organization for every performance, but they have even donated 600 million Won to Japan to aid in the earthquake and tsunami relief.
The group is also famous for the warm-hearted generosity it’s members give to their staff. According to a representative who took part in the ‘JYJ World Tour Concert in 2011′, “They take care of the staff so well, just as if we were members of their family, that it makes me wonder if other stars act the same way. They buy us meals and drinks while we’re working and even pay for everyone when we go out for dinner as a group.”
They have branched out from their original career as singers and morphed into actors, musical actors and directors. JYJ boast ‘world class’ generosity, heart, earnings and efforts to do their best in whatever thehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gify are given. Through a world tour that encompasses Thailand, Taiwan, China, Canada and the US, JYJ plan to solidify their position as Korea’s representative Hallyu artistes.

[TRANS] 110426 A ‘Condo TVXQ Stayed In’ Will Be Created In Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do
A ‘Complex of Image-based Culture Tourism’ is being constructed in Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do in a collaboration that includes SM Entertainment.
The Mungyeong municipality revealed on the 26th that it has chosen ‘M City PFV’, a consortium created by those such as Fides Developers and SM Entertainment, as the entrepreneurial group to take on the ‘Mungyeong Complex of Image-based Culture Tourism’.
The complex will be developed collectively by a professional development firm, a professional entertainment contents firm, and a local government that has the resources for cultural tourism. According to Fides Developers, the complex will not follow the stereotypical facilities-heavy structure of normal theme parks and will instead use cultural contents and celebrities as its attraction factor.
The construction is set to be done in stages. Saejae World, the first stage of the plans, will be 35,894m²and will be comprised of facilities such as filming locations (indoor and outdoor studios etc), recreational facilities (spa, water park etc), image-based content facilities (experiential facilities, fansign event rooms etc). The total cost of the project is 43 billion Won and it is set to be completed in 2012.
The Saejae World industry will create a family-based theme park full of cultural content that will break free of the preexisting form of theme parks and will differentiate itself with its supply of cultural content such as movies and dramas.
For this project, SM Entertainment will be providing its celebrities and cultural contents. A variety of ‘star zones’ will be set up for celebrities such as Girls’ Generation, TVXQ and BoA with fansign events and fanmeetings to be held there. Star marketing will be used for the theme park with the lego-style condos featuring rooms such as the ‘BoA Room’, and ‘TVXQ Room’ in which the stars themselves will have stayed in. Movie Director Kang Jae Gyu will also be participating in the project and is planning to use the site for future filming locations.
The complex will make Mungyeong the core of culture tourism in Korea and will encompass an area of 888,186m² comprising of three worlds, Saejae World, Gaeun World and Hanae World. Saejae World will be the first to be completed.
Saejae World, the first stage of the complex, will begin construction in the first half of this year and is expected to be completed by the first half of 2012. Shin Hyung Gook, the mayor of Mungyeong, stated, “As Mungyeong is plentiful in cultural and historical artifacts as well as tourism resources, such as the Mungyeong Saejae, we had over 3.7 million visitors in the past year alone,” and “We will open a new era for theme parks by combining the cultural resources of Mungyeong with the technology and contents of the nation.”

[TRANS] 110425 JYJ’s Kim Junsu Is “Very Happy And Thankful” To be Chosen As The Most Vocally Talented Idol Singer
JYJ’s Kim Junsu talked of how he felt when he was chosen as the most vocally talented idol star.
On the 25th, cable channel ENT’s ‘Entertainment Station-The Interview’ aired the interview they held at JYJ’s cosmetic brand photoshoot.
During the interview, Yoochun complimented Junsu as he said, “I read an article that Junsu was chosen as the most vocally talented idol singer,” and “Though he is a fellow member and friend, I always thought results like this were expected and obvious because I’ve been hearing Junsu’s voice for so long. He’s truly amazing.“
Junsu chose his words carefully as though he was shy about the results and said, “I think a lot of polls like this have been going on, but it just happened to be that there were more magnified articles written about this particular poll.”
To the other members’ mischievous side comment, “So you’re asking why it took so long for you to be placed in the number one spot?” Junsu seemed flustered and unable to make a witty comeback. He finally said, “No. I’m so thankful. It made me more happy when I learned that the people taking the survey were vocal trainers. I’ll work harder to be better.“
