A shockwave spread through the industry when it was found that a string of Park Yoochun’s TV appearances were canceled. Many have voiced the opinion that the broadcasting companies are buckling under external pressure, and the production crews have stepped forth to give their clarifications.
It was revealed recently that not only was Park Yoochun, as well as his fellow leading actors of MBC’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Ripley’, denied an appearance on MBC’s ‘Come To Play’, but his appearance on KBS 2TV’s ‘On A Roll’ was also canceled. Regarding this issue, a representative of the broadcasting industry even cautiously voiced the opinion, “It seems that someone is trying to hinder JYJ’s activities in the entertainment industry.”
But Yoon Hyung Joon, PD of ‘On A Roll’, refuted all claims of external pressure on the program canceling Park Yoochun’s appearance. On May 4th, PD Yoon stated, “It’s ridiculous that people believe Park Yoochun was unable to appear as Kim Kap Soo’s surprise guest because of external pressure. The rumors are completely and utterly false.“
He also stressed, “If there was any external pressure, we wouldn’t have called him from the start to ask him to appear on the show,” and “PDs have the authority over recruiting guests. It’s a bit extreme to say that we were pressured into canceling on him.”
A representative of ‘Come To Play’ also refuted rumors of external pressure when he said, ‘It’s true that the ‘Ripley’ team wanted to appear on the show, but we simply chose a better episode plan, that’s all.”
Some are saying, “Because the general consensus of the public is being steered towards blaming JYJ’s inability to appear on TV shows on external pressure, there are people who are spreading baseless rumors on the existence of such issues and making it worse.”

With MBC’s ‘Star Audition-A Majestic Birth’ gaining more and more popularity as the days go by, the results have been revealed on which idol star would be most
apt at being a mentor on the show.
Music portal site Bugs (www.bugs.co.kr) conducted a survey on 5,529 people from April 26th to May 2nd on the question of, ‘Which idol has the most potential to become a future mentor on ‘A Majestic Birth’?’.
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon came out on top with 45% (2487 people) of the votes. Those who were surveyed left reasons such as, “Taeyeon is an artiste whose color and vocal ability is undeniable,” and “Taeyeon is the person who leads the nine members of Girls’ Generation. With this experience under her belt, she could become a great mentor who gives her juniors important and lasting advice.”
Kim Junsu came out second in the survey with 41% (2261 people) of the votes. Kim Junsu has also been chosen as ‘The most vocally talented artiste amongst idols’ by vocal trainers.
Netizens said, “There are no idols who could even dream of catching up to Xiah Junsu’s vocal talent,” and “Junsu is able to sing live, even when he dances. He fits the role of a mentor on ‘A Majestic Birth’ so well.” Xiah Junsu will be appearing in the musical ‘Mozart’ from the 24th of this month.
Third place went to 2AM’s Changmin with 6% (282 people) of the votes. Changmin plans to appear on ‘Immortal Music Classics2′, frequently called the idol-version of ‘I am a Singer’. IU and B2ST’s Yang Yoseob were also seen on the list.

[NEWS] 110509 Kim Junsu, “Piled Up Alcohol. JaeJoong Hyung and YuChun say They are Coming”
Group JYJ member Kim Junsu revealed the photo of him sitting alone at the bar that’s located at the basement of his house.
On the 9th May, Kim Junsu, uploaded a photo on his own twitter along with words saying, “It’s a small bar in the basement, the most secret place in the house! As you can see, there are a lot of drinks but nobody drinks in my family lol Not one bottle is opened since last year.. Jaejoongie hyung and Yuchun come to drink!”
In the photo, Kim Junsu is sitting at the bar and gazing at the bottles of alcohol which aren’t opened.

[TRANS] 110509 JYJ Successfully Ends Asia Tour; Heads Into North America Tour
After a two-month long journey for their World Tour, JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) have ended their Asia Tour with the China concert as their final stop.
On 7 May, JYJ held their JYJ World Tour 2011 at Beijing’s Capital Indoor Stadium, China. With their excellent live stage and performance, JYJ rocked the stadium which was packed with an audience of 10,000 people.
For this Asia tour, JYJ performed and successfully completed a total of 4 concerts and with a collective audience of approximately 43,000 people, In particular, Kim Jaejoong took on the role of director for the concerts for the first time, and with his accumulated experience from all his concerts so far, presented a stage with a high level of completion.
JYJ revealed, “This World Tour was a new challenge for JYJ, with the stage that expressed the story we wanted to tell,” and “We’re happy that we managed to show a good variety of music to our fans in Asia that we haven’t seen for a long time. We are really thankful for the unwavering, passionate support that has been given to us.”
JYJ will be moving on to LA next week, heading into the preparations for their North America tour. The concerts in the North America tour will be held in 4 different cities, starting off with Vancouver, Canada on 20 May, then 22 May in New Jersey, 27 May in LA, and 2 June in San Jose.
