[TRANS] 110704 JYJ Purchases Exclusive Recording Studio In Gangnam

JYJ (Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu, Kim Jaejoong) have purchased a recording studio near the Gangnam area.

Related personnel said “Recently, JYJ purchased a work studio, and it is currently undergoing renovations. As JYJ are predominantly using their own musical compositions for activities, they require their own work studio. After activities for one album, with various individual schedules for drama, musicals and others, the need for a personal work studio is felt strongly.

JYJ also purchased new recording equipment, and is working on designing the interior etc, based on the fact that this studio will be used as the centre for their own music production. Previously, this studio was jointly run by the representative record label Trifecta Entertainment (which had singers like Uhm Jung Hwa, Koyote and Sol Bi), and Uptown’s Chris Jung.

JYJ held their Worldwide Concerts, starting on 2 April with Bangkok, Thailand, followed by Taiwan, China, Japan, America as well as Korea’s Busan and Gwangju, a total of 10 cities in 7 countries.

Following that, Park Yoochun returned to status as actor with the MBC drama “Miss Ripley,” Kim Junsu appeared in the encore performance for the musical “Mozart,” and Kim Jaejoong will challenge acting in a domestic drama for the first time with “Protect The Boss.”

(Junsu, 2:58pm KST) I fell into such a sweet slumber^^ Yesterday’s performance feels like such a dream~ The stage was such a happy place because I’ve had you all by my side, crying and laughing with me along the way.. Though I have to let go of Mozart for a moment, I hope it stays as a beautiful dream that fills our hearts to the brim.

(Junsu, 3:01pm KST) Mozart… I was so happy.. to have been able to be him.. I would like to sincerely thank you all once more for watching over Mozart, despondent of his life, and crying and laughing with me.

[TRANS] 110704 TVXQ, First Korean Singer Featured In Cover Of Japanese Magazine “Rolling Stone”

According to a report by the Japanese media on July 4, Korean boy band TVXQ is the first Korean group to be featured on the magazine cover of “Rolling Stone”. TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin have been invited to be featured on the cover of the Japanese version of “Rolling Stone”, and it is reported that Japanese singers are rarely featured on their cover; while this being the first time that a Korean singer is being featured.

TVXQ, known for leaders of the Hallyu wave in Japan, had to stop their activities at the point of time where they had contract disputes with their agency, SM Entertainment, having 3 members left. Now, being the first boy band to be featured on the covers of “Rolling Stone”, Yunho and Changmin has once again secured the name “Dong Bang Shin Ki”.

In 2008, Mika Nakashima was the first Japanese artiste to be featured in “Rolling Stone”, and since then, only a handful of 10 over Japanese artistes had been on the covers of “Rolling Stone”. TVXQ proved their great popularity by being the first Korean artiste to be on the cover of “Rolling Stone”.

Yesterday, a SM Entertainment staff wrote on his blog, stating, “To be able to be on the cover of “Rolling Stone”, even to Japanese artistes, it’s not that easy”. The two members of TVXQ expressed that they were honoured to be invited for a photoshoot for the front cover of “Rolling Stone”.
