During the Christmas season last year, Park YooChun presented a car to his younger brother as a sign of support towards the latter’s decision to become an actor. It took YooHwan three months of pleading and nagging before he received it. Park YooHwan said, “I’ve been telling my brother that I wanted a car for a long time, and he actually bought me one during the Christmas season.”
The car that YooChun bought for YooHwan was a BMW M3 Sedan, which is very popular amongst celebrities, and very expensive. Even though they are brothers, it might still be a burden to buy a car worth over a billion dollars as a gift. However, Park YooChun did not hesitate to buy this car for his younger brother as an encouragement for his debut as an actor.
Park YooHwan said, “When my elder brother gave me the car, he said, ‘Being an actor is not easy, but because you chose this path, I hope you will show good results.’ I will try my best in the future to live up to the expectation and keep up the reputation of being Park YooChun’s brother no matter where I go.”
Park YooHwan received a lot of help from his brother while preparing for his debut as an actor. When YooHwan first declared that he wanted to be an actor, Yoochun opposed immediately. As a celebrity, YooChun was fully aware of the hardships that came along with the career and was thus worried for his younger brother. Later, however, as he watched how his younger brother immersed himself in acting, YooChun was assured and started giving encouragement and advice as a senior. YooChun also accepted his brother into his company so that he could take care of him.
With his cute looks, Park YooHwan had already achieved some popularity and favour within the entertainment industry a couple of years ago. He is currently acting in the new MBC drama “Shiny Shiny Shining”. Unlike most new actors, his sense of calmness and acting skills has been attracting more and more attention.

Park Yoochun’s power cannot be underestimated.
Aired last year, the KBS Drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal,” message board had reached 401,000 comments on 20 March. On 18 March viewer Ms.Sohn Sook Ja posted “The scholar has given up his position,” becoming the main character in the 400,000th post. To this, loyal fans of “SungKyunKwan Scandal” wrote “Congratulations, Scholar Sook Ja”, “Senior Sohn, congratulations on the 400,000th post” and other comments.
The hit series, SBS’s “Secret Garden,” whose viewership ratings had exceeded 30% this year, had approximately 44,000 comments on its message board. But the popularity of Park Yoochun and the others, as well as the passionate response is something worth considering as well. Although “SungKyunKwan Scandal’s” ratings had stopped at an average of 12.8% (AGB Nielsen), but the audience loyalty is higher among its followers as compared to other dramas.
The audience, following the terms used in SungKyunKwan, address each other according to hierarchy using “Scholar” and “Senior,” to create an interesting atmosphere of “life at SungKyunKwan.” Although “SungKyunKwan Scandal” had ended a long while ago, but in the “Love Room” of the “SungKyunKwan Scandal” Message Board, you can still see the passion for “SungKyunKwan Scandal.”
KBS Drama Executive Producer Lee Kang Hyun said, “ Of all the shows produced by KBS last year, “SungKyunKwan Scandal” received the most passionate response from the audience. “Baker King Tak Goo” and “The Slave Hunters” received high viewership ratings, and were all successful dramas.
Park Yoochun is scheduled to participate in the MBC Monday-Tuesday Mini Series “Goodbye Miss Ripley.”

With the debut broadcast of Jaejoong's 'Killer J' movie still, ELLEatTV's number of viewers increased by seven times, with the total number of website hits totalling to five times the normal average.
