World known idol JYJ’s Kim Junsu has once again created a legend with the successful end to the encore stage of “Mozart!”
When Kim Junsu first acted in the musical“Mozart!” in 2010, his popularity was proved when he created a record of selling out musical tickets within 3 minutes.
Even though it was his first musical, he won new actor awards and popularity awards in “The Musical Awards” and “The Korean Musical Award”, proving his ability and future possibility of being a musical actor.
In addition, his stable acting skills and vocals were also recognized by many actors in the musical industry; his performances in “Mozart!” this year livened up the musical industry, and he was much recognized for his new identity of being a musical actor.
During his final three-hour performance on 3 July, Kim Junsu, who played Mozart, portrayed Mozart’s happiness, sorrow, and anger emotions on stage flawlessly. He also displayed his unique vocal and performing skills, earning him cheers and a standing ovation from the audience.
After the final performance, Kim Junsu expressed, “ Although this isn’t the first performance, but I feel blessed being able to feel the life of Mozart’s. Many hopes and burdens were being put on Mozart’s shoulders, and he was only filled with misery and loneliness under his seemingly extravagant life. Through the songs and the script, I felt as if I was his friend 300 years ago; there was this special meaning, and I have this heart-wrenching feeling now that I have to leave ‘Mozart!’ again. I put in 120% effort into acting Mozart, and I’m really thankful to the audience for having these same feelings, and returning them with a heart-warming response.”
Kim Junsu, who was known for being the “Most Anticipated Musical Actor” for his performances in “Mozart!” and “Tears of Heaven”, had shown much improvement in his acting since the “Mozart!” encore stage, earning him another title in the musical industry---“Xiahzart” , proving his stable position in musicals.
