As the most watched Monday-Tuesday drama, ‘Miss Ripley’ and its OST is receiving much love.
With MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’ scoring the highest viewer ratings for Monday-Tuesday dramas, the first-press supply of 20,000 copies of the OST album, which has been praised for perfectly expressing the feelings of the characters in the drama, has sold out, continuing on the drama’s winning streak.
A great number of orders have been flooding in for the OST album from Japan and Southeast Asia, giving all a sneak peek into the possibilities of ‘Miss Ripley’ becoming an international hit as well.
When Song Yoo Hyun’s theme song ‘This Empty Place is For You’, sung by Park Yoochun, was released on June 21st, it topped various music charts, signalling the beginning of ‘The Miss Ripley Syndrome’.
The OST album includes the ardent voices of talented singers Hwayobi and JYJ’s Park Yoochun, who teamed up with Jeon Hae Sung, who composed Baek Ji Young’s ‘That Woman’, increasing the degree of completion of the album.
The production company stated, “Coming off a successful increase in viewer ratings, the OST is receiving an explosive reaction as well,” and “Park Yoochun and Hwayobi’s appealing voices were leading factors to the OST’s success.“
