Is it the Kim JaeJoong effect?
The issue regarding episode 2 of “Protect the Boss” to be broadcasted overseas is on a rising concern after the premiere airing of the SBS drama on August 3rd.
This is a story about No Eun Seol who finally gets a job as a secretary at a law firm under the bad boy boss Cha Ji Heon, the immature youngest son of a chaebol family. But even before the premiere, the meeting which took place between Ji Sung and Choi Kang Hee has already become a topic.
A member of JYJ, Kim JaeJoong has successfully debuted as an actor in the Japanese drama "Hard To Say I Love You". After the announcement of Kim JaeJoong participating in the drama was made, it aroused great attention from overseas.
Normally, a drama can only be broadcasted in their own country in order to protect the country's drama ratings. However, up until episode 2 of “Protect the Boss”, countries in which the drama is not allowed to be broadcasted including Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and other Asian countries have expressed their interest for the drama.
Regarding this matter, the SBS program information centre, which is in charge of the exportation of programs expressed that, "For “Protect the Boss”, the overseas attention towards the drama is overwhelming, and it is becoming the most anticipated drama in the Asian market. The distributors from many countries are currently having discussions with us regarding the drama distribution."
