JYJ will be opening a photo exhibition titled ‘Mine’ at a gallery in Insa-dong to better communicate with their fans.
The exhibition will take place from the 12th of August for 10 days and will display photos of JYJ’s world tour that took place in 10 cities across the globe, as well as photos and stories from their daily lives.
CEO Baek Chang Joo of C-JeS Entertainment, which manages JYJ, stated, “We’ve created this special photo exhibition because we haven’t had that many opportunities to showcase the fruits of our labor as JYJ toured ten cities for their worldwide tour due to the restrictions placed on JYJ’s broadcasted appearances,” and “We planned this event to create a special opportunity for JYJ’s domestic fans who are waiting for them, as well as the international fans who visit Korea.”
JYJ, who have had restrictions placed on their broadcasted appearances, have met with fans through dramas and live performances, and they have always taken an active approach in finding ways to connect with their fans. They released ‘Their Rooms’ in January that was filled with their essays and compositions, while March brough a fanmeet called ‘Sweet Date’ at Jamshil’s indoor gymnasium to commemorate White Day. This time, the members have created a space to communicate with their fans by displaying pictures that they’ve taken themselves. For the event, the members took cameras wherever they went for two months to capture their daily lives on film.
Their heartfelt attempts to communicate with their fans have been met with a heated response from their fans. JYJ’s ‘Their rooms’ became a bestseller as soon as it was released and whipped the publishing world into a frenzy while the indoor gymnasium of Jamshil was filled to the brim during the fanmeet. The photo exhibition was also met with an explosive reaction as fans stated, “I’m so excited because it will be a special memory”, “I’m grateful because the members always think of us fans”, and “I’m filled with emotions to know that we get to share JYJ’s two-month long world tour journey with them.”
JYJ said, “We wanted to share the electrifying memories from our two-month long tour through America, Canada and Asia with our domestic fans. We hope this becomes an opportunity for us to share the grateful feelings we have for our fans as well as the honest passion we have for music,” and “Our anticipation for the photo exhibition has increased because it’s located in Insa-dong, which has its own special sentiments to it.”
Meanwhile, JYJ’s Park Yoochun is taking a break as his drama recently ended while Kim Jaejoong is playing the role of Cha Mu Won in SBS’ Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’. Kim Junsu is stirring up a storm in the music charts with his song ‘You are so Beautiful’ from the OST of SBS’ ‘Scent of a Woman’.
