Korean group JYJ performed their “2011 ASIA TOUR in TAIPEI” at the Taipei Arena yesterday. The hall was 90% full, and ticket sales totalled approximately NT$20 Million. The “T-shaped” extended stage, together with the fans below the stage waving thier red penlights, showed a fiery passion.
Under the magnificent LED stage and laser lights sweeping across the stage, a definitively Hallyu stage assaulted the fans’ senses. From the opening, JYJ used the “pop-up” method and entered the stage coolly, and performed “Empty,” rapidly heating up the atmosphere of the concert. As they sang “Be my Girl,” JYJ and their 10 dancers encouraged the stadium to dance along, and did the “wave” with the fans as well.
Park Yoochun said, “ I’m sorry that we only managed to come now, I really miss the fans in Taiwan.” Kim Junsu then pushed him to show off his charm and sexy attitude, and Park Yoochun immediately struck a pose, driving the fans crazy. Kim Jaejoong just shouted ,” I love you,” expressing his thanks to the fans. Kim Junsu said that he will work hard on his Chinese, and speak more (Chinese) the next time, to thank the fans.
When performing the “Empty remix,” Kim Junsu’s solo dance moves once again caused an explosion of screams from the fans. Park Yoochun said, “Thanks to everybody, we had a really great night.” The fans reacted supportively, with red banners and papers flying all over the stadium. JYJ did two encores to thank the fans.
JYJ will be leaving Taiwan today at 1.30pm on Korea’s Asiana Airlines flight OZ712.
