Jeju Island revealed that it has chosen JYJ(Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) as the island’s ambassadors for its 7 Natural Wonders of the World challenege.
JYJ will be participating in promotional activities to bring in overseas votes for the island for the next 200 days until the polls close and the results are finalized.
Kang Sung Hoo, the head of World Heritage Sites Protection, seemed to anticipate positive results from the new ambassadors as he stated, “We believe this decision will cause an increase in votes from foreigners, which has been low due to the lack of global awareness of Jeju Island.“
JYJ is a three member group comprised of Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu. After releasing their first worldwide album ‘The Beginning’ last October, they kicked off their world tour in April.
The voting procedure for the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, led by the Swiss New Seven Wonders Foundation, will take place till November 10th through sms, phone calls and the internet with the results set to release on the 11th of the same month.
