“Get those tickets!”
It’s a ticketing war out there. Even before ticket reservations have begun for JYJ’s Busan concert, domestic and overseas fans are already fully engaged in a competitive and fierce fence-sitting policy to get tickets for the show.
JYJ, who are currently on a two-month-long world tour, will be holding concerts on June 11th and 12th at the Busan Sajik Indoor Gymnasium as the grand finale for their world tour. Though most singers on world tours hold their finale performances in Seoul, JYJ are garnering attention for choosing Busan as their final destination.
Many speculate that the powder kegs that ignited the ticketing war were the Japanese fans. JYJ, consisting of TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu, are known to have many fans in Japan. As the group’s world tour will not be stopping in Japan, it is expected that a large number of Japanese fans will be flocking to Busan to see JYJ.
That may be why representatives of JYJ are worried that domestic fans may lose the chance to attend the concert.
CEO Baek Chang Joo of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “Ever since the details for the Busan concerts were finalized and released, we’ve had a constant and never ending stream of phone calls, asking where and when tickets can be bought. A notice regarding ticket sales will soon be posted,” and “We are currently thinking of a plan for domestic fans as they have been notified that a large block of tickets have already been bought by Japan.”
It was revealed that adding one more date to the concert schedule is a plan that is being actively considered right now.
CEO Baek said, “It isn’t easy to add extra dates to the concert schedule as each individual member’s schedule is packed. But taking the fans into consideration, we are currently fixing the schedules so that we can add one more performance in a location other than Busan.“
JYJ, who successfully completed the Asia leg of their tour through Thailand, Taiwan and China, will be continuing their tour through Vancouver on the 20th, New Jersey on the 22nd, LA on the 27th, and San Jose on June 2nd.
