JYJ(Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) have now found themselves in their mid twenties. Though they were at the top of the industry from the moment they debuted, they later faced frustrations that made them laugh and cry. Now, they have gotten back on their feet and are on a roll once more.
“We want to share JYJ’s daily lives.” An average of 600 people visit each day
The photos that contain the daily lives and memories of the three members were open to the public at the Insa Gallery in Seoul from the 12th. Approximately 55 photos were placed on three floors and an average of 600 people were visiting the gallery every day to see the photos taken by JYJ.
Befitting the title ‘MINE’, the photo exhibition showed the daily lives of the three members, even the cats that they raise. The photo of Park Yoochun with a mischievous and childlike smile and Kim Junsu looking zoned out was enough to grab the attention of most fans. The black and white photos of the trio’s music video filming location looked like they had come straight from a 1960s American movie set and the photo of the sky titled ‘Serenity’ looked as if it had been painted with watercolors.
Looking at JYJ’s photo taking skills
The photos titled ‘We are One’ that showed the members hands playing rock, paper, scissors reflected the hearts of the trio. Aside from the photos that JYJ themselves took, people were able to view JYJ in a new light from the photos the staff members took during JYJ’s world tour, as well as from the Polaroid photos taken from time to time.
Most of the fans were seen at the video corner in the basement where sections of the rough cut DVD of JYJ’s concert in November, 2010 at Jamshil and teaser videos of ‘In Heaven’ and ‘Get Out’ were shown.
“We’ll probably be greeting you all with a new album within this year.”
Lee Sang Mi of Prain, the PR company of JYJ, stated to ‘OhmyNews’ on the 17th that, “JYJ are planning to release a Korean album within this year,” and revealed that ‘In Heaven’ and ‘Get Out’ will be included in the album. This will be their first album in approximately a year since their first worldwide album ‘The Beginning’ was released last October.
Park Yoochun is currently on a break since MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’ has ended, and Kim Junsu, who performed in the musicals ‘Tears of Heaven’ and ‘Mozart!’ this year, recently participated in the OST of SBS’ weekend drama ‘Scent of a Woman’. Lee Sang Mi stated, “As Kim Jaejoong is focusing on filming for SBS’ Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’, wouldn’t the album drop sometime around when the drama ends?“
JYJ’s photo exhibition is open till the 21st.
