JYJ has released their long-anticipated album "In Heaven"!
Since leaving SM Entertainment (SME) in July 2009, till today, nearing the second anniversary of the group, the journey has not been easy, and they have emphasized that all this is by choice and they have no complaints nor regrets. With a grateful heart, JYJ is filled with emotion at being able to release a Korean album, in the hopes that this can be a gift, dedicated to loyal fans who have always been with them.
Their conversation with reporters at a cafe in Seoul is as follows.
JaeJoong said, "This album is meaningful to me in many ways. We are exhilarated because this is our first Korean album, and this encompasses two years' worth of emotions and stories. I think our fans should have the deepest feelings on it. In the album, there are songs that we've been preparing since January. What makes us proud of this album is that 80% of it is personally created by us.
Although they've been in the entertainment industry for nearly ten years, JunSu, YooChun and JaeJoong have not had any songs that they can perform publicly since leaving SME. Now, all the songs that they perform are either personally composed or chosen, even their concerts, stage designs and directing are done personally. For them, these two years have been an accumulation of experiences as well as growth.
So how did they make music?
Other than YooChun telling the reporters that he had spent over 100 million won refurbishing his own studio, JunSu also said, "When we were creating songs together, we never argued. We always exchange suggestions, listening to each other advices, and finding common points with each other. By doing it this way, there'll always be a good results and exchange of ideas.
YooChun continued, saying, "I hope this album can become a great gift for our fans, because their patience during this long wait has given us an enormous amount of strength and courage. We are not creating songs for the title of "singer-composers". At first it was difficult, because when we had concerts, we couldn't sing many songs. In the end, all these can be seen as the turning point of the crisis, we learnt a lot from our struggles and found the strength to start again. The three of us can experience emotions on a deeper level now. Other than that, we are also more confident of our future as musicians."
