JYJ’s Donation (600 million won) was used to make a place for relaxation/refreshment in the affected communities of the Great Northeast Japan Earthquake
The donation that JYJ has made for the affected areas of the Great Northeast Japan Earthquake was used to make a relaxation/refreshment place for the victims.
JYJ has donated to World Vision 600 million won (40 million yen, T/N:USD514800) in March, requesting the money to be used in the areas affected by the great northeast earthquake. A part of the money was used at the beginning for emergency relief supplies, and also, a part was recently used in order to construct a relaxation/refreshment place for the victims.
The relaxation/refreshment place that JYJ has donated was constructed in Iwate Prefecture, inside the temporary residential complex. The residents have to live in temporary housing for 2 years until the restoration (from the earthquake). They can now live with the relaxation/refreshment place that JYJ has presented to them.
JYJ has made continuous donation in addition to the 600 million won. They have conveyed the seriousness of the damages (of the earthquake) in their world tour which started in April, and have done a supporting message campaign "Ganbare Nippon (T/N: Keep trying, Japan)" together with the fans worldwide, and also a donation plan together with World Vision. They also have donated 30 million won (2 million yen, T/N:USD25740) with their ticket proceeds of their showcase last year to World Vision, to help the children in Congo.
JYJ will hold the concert "JYJ UNFORGETTABLE LIVE CONCERT IN JAPAN 2011" in Oct 15 & 16 in Ibaraki Prefecture, at the National Hitachi Kaihin Park (with the audience of 60 thousand).
