Choi Kang Hee even danced for her job interview.
The new SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’, which will air after ‘City Hunter’, draws upon the story of a newbie secretary who tries to control her unruly boss, the successor of a conglomerate.
In the first episode, No Eun Seol, played by actress Choi Kang Hee, goes to ten interviews in order to find a job. Because she comes from a college in the countryside with low grades, No Eun Seol faces failure several times. To fight against elites from reputable colleges, she does everything from singing and dancing to kickboxing poses to even reading the interviewer’s palm.
When she is then ignored by the interviewer, she tears up and says, “Everyone is categorized into good and bad, but this person is good at this and that person is good at that. Everyone is different in their own way. The fact that you base people’s capabilities solely on their exam scores and academic spectrums makes you seem all the more foolish.”
For the interview scene, Choi Kang Hee moved between various locations such as the Ilsan Kintex and YoungDeungPo Hotel. Kim Jaejoong garnered the attention of many by appearing at one of the interviews.
The production company stated, “Our drama is brings joyous and refreshing fun but also tackles the real issue that the youth of our generation face with finding a job.”
‘Protect the Boss’ will begin airing on August 3rd at 9:55pm.
